About the Artist

Much of my work is inspired by a devotion to the mountains, their inhabitants and a love of water. This is rooted through the sport of ski racing and growing up in the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes. Between camping in the Northwoods of Minnesota and skiing across North America my love of the outdoors developed synonymously with my love of art.

I am a self taught artist and much of what I have learned has come from watching a scene unfold in real time. Nature is the best teacher and some of the best lessons come from observing how light moves with time, completely repainting the scenery it fills.

As a kindergartner I wrote a letter to my future self saying that I wanted to be an artist and a skier. Today, I continue to honor my inner child and bring the technicolor joy from fulfilling that wish into my artwork. My main goal with my work is to evoke reflection in connection to the natural world, allowing the viewer to reconnect with their inner child in the process.
